Montgomery firefighter arrested for conduct with child | Crime
MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - An investigation into a Montgomery firefighter's conduct in Elmore County led to his arrest on harassment charges.
Montgomery firefighter, 35-year-old John Montague, turned himself into the Elmore County Sheriff's Office on Monday. Montague is charged with harassment for allegedly kissing a 13-year-old girl and sending her inappropriate text messages. The girl is currently being interviewed by authorities, depending on the outcome of that interview it is possible that more charges could be filed. Montague was a volunteer sports coach at the same private school in Elmore County the girl attended.
Montague has been placed on administrative leave from the Montgomery Fire Department and MFD has initiated further investigation into his conduct.
